Bi-Rite Market Food & Wine Series #1 Sold Out [details] |

March 13, 2007 |
Last night's kick-off of the Bi-Rite Market Food & Wine Series was a hit! We were very pleased to welcome producers from Cowgirl Creamery, Pey-Marin Vineyards, and Devil's Gulch Ranch to tell us a little about themselves, their farming, and their food. Our space was filled to seating capacity for this fully booked event. Thank you and congrats to Josh, Dabne, and the rest of the folks from Bi-Rite for such a success. We'll be hosting additional events in the Series in April in May, so keep your eye on Bi-Rite's web site for information on upcoming events.
Oh, and keep in mind that Passing opens this Friday 7-10pm, and come on out.

We're in a transition between exhibitions, with Rick Munoz' show de-installed last week and Bayeté Ross Smith installing next week. On Monday we're excited to be hosting the first in a series of food and wine lectures in conjunction with Bi-Rite. This one is fully booked but stay tuned for news of follow-on events. And Friday, March 17, Ross Smith's Passing will be opening from 7-10pm. We hope to see you.

Last night's opening reception for the exhbition of photography by Rick Munoz was a big hit. Munoz' family and friends turned out in force to show their support for his first public showing. Congrats to Rick! As always, Friends of Bluespace were there having a good time - thanks to everyone that made it. If you didn't make it, Slices of the City will be on exhibition for the next three weeks... come on by!

Kenney Mencher's painting demonstration yesterday was a lot of fun; not being much of an artists myself, I learned a lot of the basics. And Kenney has a sense of humor to keep the show entertaining. Perhaps we'll see the painting he was working on turn up in a future exhibition.

Last night's reception was a big hit. Despite the frigid temperatures, we had a full house in attendance for the opening of Kenney Mencher: Clichés and Characters. On Saturday, January 20, 1-3pm Kenney Mencher will be conducting a demonstration of his painting technique.
The exhibition will run until early February, so if you didn't make it Friday, hopefully you will have a chance to stop by sometime in the next month. Feel free to contact us to arrange a time to drop by.

Welcome to the new Bluespace web site. We're trying to make the site more informative, easier to use, and more interactive. In particular, we want to be able to highlight upcoming events and archive events that have already happened. We hope you'll check back from time to time to see what's going on. Here's something to kick things off:
This Friday, January 12, from 6-9pm, Bluespace is hosting a reception for Kenney Mencher: Clichés and Characters. We hope you can join us! [details] |
