Reside In Medford Oregon and Bored to tears?

People are always complaining that there is nothing to do in Medford. The fact of the matter is that there is plenty of things to do in Medford.

This event calendar is by far one of the most robust event calendars for the area. There are things happening every day of the week and you don't even know it. Pretty much every category of event you could think of is included in this calendar, as long as it is legal.

This is what I really linke about this event calendar.

1. The categorical themes make it really easy to navigate to things that are of interest to you. It covers things from community events, theater and performances, live music, karaoke, dancing, classes, comedy shows in Medford OR, and many more. 2. You can search it. Finding specific events in specifc cities is easy with the search function. This saves you a ton of time. But if you have the time and or just want to see what’s happening around the valley just start scrolling through it. You will find something that sounds interesting.

3. Anyone can post an event on this calendar. Although you do need to be a member to do so, but membership is free so you really can’t go wrong.

This is far from being perfect. And the creators know this and are constantly tweaking it get it there. There are some features that I would like to see that I think would make it really cool. And who knows, maybe those guys will end up reading this article and take these suggestions to heart.

1. I wish there was a way to subscribe to the calendar to get notifications of the types of events that I am interested in when they get posted. This would allow me to plan for these events. Getting a sitter is tough. But if I was notified way ahead of time it would be much easier. This feature request could already be part of their site. If it is I must have missed it.

2. Receiving a text message or email would be really nice as events are added in my interest category. Now this will probably make me sad more than anything as I will rarely be able to go to any of them on short notice, but hey, you never now.

Unfortunately I doubt either one of these will ever be added. Main reason being is that it is expensive or could be expensive to send out texts to people and this is a free service to the community. But hey, I still think it would be cool if they could figure out a way to make it happen.
